I Die... It's Back

Since the disappearance of Fashion TV from sky, my delve into the fashion world via film and TV programmes has been somewhat limited, but my favourite fashion world escapism has returned to UK screens. The Rachel Zoe Project is back! Really channel 248 on Sky. One of the worlds most famous celebrity stylists is back, with her famous one liners, huge sunglasses, skinny frame and killer jewels. I love the drama and over the top but serious bizz of this fashion team. Plus Brad the cute team member - never has a man looked so dapper in modern terms.

So 'shut the front door' a night in with the fashion, the shoes, Rachel Zoe, Brad and the team is my evening sorted.

Accent Colours

Camel became the new black last season, we've seen it in abundance during 2010 and with such a colour playing a huge feature in the fashion set, it seems fitting that accent colours are slowly filtering into our spectrum and becoming more popular. Not just camel, but red and khaki have also been very popular seasons past.

Anja here on the street and modeling for Mango.

So what's to come for the new seasons? Rust, olive and mustard seem an obvious extension from the colour trends of late and I'm really becoming drawn to them. Some of my high street favourites are on the money as usual, Topshop, Zara and Mango are producing key pieces in such shades. They're warm tones and add a pop of colour for winter, yet are still pretty and understated for summer.

Gala is always ahead of the trend.

Here's a look at some accent colour inspiration...

and possibly the new season favourites come the new year. Colour blocking all the way! Whilst we know about them now I think these are great shades for the Christmas holiday season, when the colour and fabrics right it can look very luxurious! They almost have a rustic glow and undertone to them, like a burnished gold. A perfect way to add a bit of glamour to your winter wardrobe - accent colours suitable what ever the weather.

And the absolute favourite from the Spring/Summer 2011 season goes to ......

The New Classic's

Saw this image and it made me think of the classic's of our years, and how these are some recent 'It' pieces which I think are going to be around for a long time. The new classic's - which will stand the test of time.

Dreaming of Summer

With this biting cold winter spell we're having here in the UK at the moment I've been wishing for warmer times and dreaming of summer. So hears a nod to what lies ahead. This evening of browsing the internet and I've been re-looking at the Spring/Summer collections and wandering what they may bring and how I may be influenced - what I may be wearing; and I stumbled across the absolutely beautiful collection by Erdem.

Remember this goody? What with the Pre-Fall collections already uopn us I had forgotten how wonderful this collection was. I know probably 'the' favourite dress from the collection was that red dress, but this is mine...

I'd go as far to say that I would love this as my wedding dress! I think its a beaut! Minimalist silhouette and in white made modern with the red details but still classic in shape and lace textures.

Lula Love, Love, LOVE

I just wanted to share with you this fantastic blog, combining all the things I love; fashion, illustration, collage and styling. Lula; over at the Subject I Know Best, has become my new fashion darling, she loves to dress up and emulates some of fashions finest. Here she is as the exiting editor herself Carine Roitfeld...

And the footer

Fantastic blog!!! My new favourite. Can't believe I haven't known about it sooner

Au Revoir Carine

Fashion Icon and French Vogue's editor in chief Carine Roitfeld is stepping down! After 10 years - the phenomenal, stylish, sophisticated woman, who represented everything synonymous with Parisian style - is stepping down.

But maybe not so sad (I'm sure she won't go too far) as questions and rumours begin to surface; What will she do next? Possibly further her working relationship with Tom Ford? Who may replace her at Vogue?

Check out the style queen in Vogue - at her best at French Vogue. And for Carine fans in case you haven't seen this already!

Get The Look

How great are these....

I've been desperately seeking some new boots and I'm a huge fan of the Pistol Short boots by Acne as are many of you. They're slightly western in style with the perfect height and comfortable heel; what could be more practical and stylish for the winter? Sadly I cannot afford such beauts.

But fear not, the label Sacha is selling a pair very similar, how do they get away with it? Who knows but I love them; I love it when the high-street does such great versions. If only they delivered to the UK ;-(

Get them here Sacha Shop / 2.5526 or buy the originals, at matchesfashion.com
