Accent Colours

Camel became the new black last season, we've seen it in abundance during 2010 and with such a colour playing a huge feature in the fashion set, it seems fitting that accent colours are slowly filtering into our spectrum and becoming more popular. Not just camel, but red and khaki have also been very popular seasons past.

So what's to come for the new seasons? Rust, olive and mustard seem an obvious extension from the colour trends of late and I'm really becoming drawn to them. Some of my high street favourites are on the money as usual, Topshop, Zara and Mango are producing key pieces in such shades. They're warm tones and add a pop of colour for winter, yet are still pretty and understated for summer.

Gala is always ahead of the trend.

Here's a look at some accent colour inspiration...

and possibly the new season favourites come the new year. Colour blocking all the way! Whilst we know about them now I think these are great shades for the Christmas holiday season, when the colour and fabrics right it can look very luxurious! They almost have a rustic glow and undertone to them, like a burnished gold. A perfect way to add a bit of glamour to your winter wardrobe - accent colours suitable what ever the weather.

And the absolute favourite from the Spring/Summer 2011 season goes to ......
